If you’re getting annoying calls or messages from someone you don’t know, you can block their number in a few easy steps. It’s also an excellent way to protect yourself from spam calls and unwanted text messages.

All major mobile operating systems allow you to block incoming calls and conversations from specific phone numbers. This means that they can call, text, or FaceTime you once you unblock them.

Depending on your iPhone version, you can block someone by tapping the three-dot icon on their call log or in the Phone app.

The phone will display the number you’ve blocked and offer an option to add or remove that person from your contacts list. Tap Edit if you want to remove that number from your blocked list.
